Vitor Belfort to retire soon?

Vitor Belfort is set to fight Gegard Mousasi at UFC 204 and spoke with MMA Junkie about his future in the sport.

“People are expecting this for my past seven fights: ‘When are you going to retire?’ I understand the job of you guys (the media) trying to expect what I’m going to do next, but actually, I don’t have a plan,” Belfort said. “My plan is to be here right now and fight this fight and fight the best guys. I’m not here to take any easy fights. I’ve fought in the decades before against tough guys.”

“I’m not going to fight into my 50s, so the transition is going to happen naturally and organically,” Belfort said. “Who knows? Maybe UFC comes (out) with the legend division.”

UFC 204 takes place on Saturday, October 8 in Manchester, England. The UFC Fight Pass prelims start at 6:30PM/3:30PM ETPT with four bouts while the FOX Sports 1 prelims air at 8PM/5PM ETPT with four bouts. The main card (PPV) airs at 10PM/7PM ETPT with four bouts.
