Vitor Belfort believes his TRT helped him win at UFC Fight Night 77

Vitor Belfort and Dan Henderson met in a middleweight bout as the main event of UFC Fight Night 77. Belfort made short work of “Hendo” as he landed a head kick, he tagged him with some strikes that dropped Henderson and then finished him on the ground with strikes. Following the event, Belfort commented on the fight.

“I’m still using TRT,” he joked to MMAjunkie following his FOX Sports 1-televised headliner at UFC Fight Night 77, which took place at Ibirapuera Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil. “You know the meaning? True revival touch. That’s what I’m in right now. I want to thank god for giving me the strength and the ability to be who I am. I am who I am.”

Belfort (25-11) is on a one-fight winning streak. In his last six bouts, he is 4-2.

“Legacy is not something that you leave for yourself,” he said. “So for me, when I fight, I don’t try to think to beat records. I just do it because I love it; I’ve been doing it for 20 years. My inspiration and my motivation is beyond that. It’s something personal, so I’m very thankful that god thanked me with good skills, and I evolved and I try to get better every day. It’s simple.”

UFC Fight Night 77 took place on Saturday, November 7, 2015, at the Ginásio do Ibirapuera in São Paulo, Brazil. The event aired on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
