Stefan Struve calls out Stipe Miocic for his next fight

Stefan Struve may have walked away with a submission win on Saturday over Daniel Omielanczuk at UFC 204 but he is looking ahead and he wants current heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic for his next fight.

“I know a certain someone who’s ranked No.1 in the world right now with a belt,” Struve said when asked about any opponents he’d like to fight during the post-fight presser. “I think (Miocic) would like to have that rematch too, but I need a big win to get that. I would love that fight, of course, but I need another win.”

“I don’t really care about those rankings,” Struve said. “But we’ll see. I’m definitely going up. I want a higher-ranked guy than I just fought. And I want to work my way up, back up, to where I belong. We’ll see what the UFC has got in store for us.”

UFC 204 took place on Saturday, October 8 in Manchester, England. The UFC Fight Pass prelims started at 6:30PM/3:30PM ETPT with two bouts while the FOX Sports 1 prelims aired at 8PM/5PM ETPT with four bouts. The main card (PPV) aired at 10PM/7PM ETPT with four bouts.
