REPORT: Vitor Belfort to fight Gegard Mousasi at UFC 204

Vitor Belfort will fight Gegard Mousasi at the UFC 204, which takes place October 8 in Manchester, England, according to Combate.com. The UFC has yet to officially announce the bout.

Belfort (25-12) is on a one-fight losing streak. In his last six bouts, he is 4-2. He beat Michael Bisping in January of 2013 by second-round TKO, a first round heel kick knockout of Luke Rockhold in May of 2013 and then a first round head kick of Dan Henderson in November of 2013. He was finished in the first-round by Chris Weidman in their title fight at UFC 187. He finished Dan Henderson at UFC Fight Night 77 by first round KO. He lost to Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza at UFC 198 by first round TKO.

Mousasi (39-6-2) is currently on a two-fight winning streak. He’s 4-2 in his last six bouts. He beat lost to Ronaldo Souza in September by third round guillotine choke and then beat Dan Henderson by first round KO. He’s coming off a win to Costas Philippou at UFC Fight Night 66 by decision. He was finished in the second round at UFC Fight Night 75 by Uriah Hall. He beat Thales Leites at UFC Fight Night 84 by unanimous decision. He beat Thiago Santos at UFC 200 by first round KO.

This is the same event as Dan Henderson vs. Michael Bisping.
