Ovince Saint Preux: The light heavyweight division is scared of me

Ovince Saint Preux is looking to have big fights in his career but believes that the light heavyweight division is scared of him, and that may be an issue for him.

“I get it, guys in my division are scared to fight me,” Saint Preux told MMAFighting.com, “I get that. I’m breaking people’s arms and choking people out with stuff they ain’t ever seen. But c’mon [UFC matchmaker] Joe [Silva] make someone man up and fight me.

“Gustafsson, Bader, Manuwa and Latifi don’t have fights lined up. I’d love to rematch Bader because he’s a great fighter and he’s not afraid of anyone. If not those guys, how about Josh Barnett or Travis Browne? I know those guys in the heavyweight division aren’t afraid to throw down.”

Saint Preux (19-7) is currently on a one-fight winning streak. In his last six bouts, he’s 4-2. He beat Ryan Jimmo at UFC 174 by second-round submission but lost to Ryan Bader at UFC Fight Night 47 by decision. He went on a two fight winning streak with wins over Shogun Rua at UFC Fight Night 56 by first-round KO and Patrick Cummins at UFC on FOX 15 by first-round KO. He then lost to Glover Teixeira at UFC Fight Night 73 by third-round rear-naked choke. He beat Rafael Cavalcante at UFC Fight Night 82 by unanimous decision.
