Michael Bisping vs. Dan Henderson goes the distance at UFC 204

Michael Bisping and Dan Henderson met in a middleweight bout as the main event of UFC 204.

In round 1, they had a feeling out process. Bisping pressed early but Henderson threw a combo to back him up. Henderson was loading up with his right hand while Bisping was landing some jabs and trying not to counter strike. Henderson dropped him with a right hand and swarmed him with strikes and elbows. Bisping gets back to his feet and is bleeding from his forehead. Bisping landed a head kick to end the round.

In round 2, Bisping continues to push forward and Henderson was landing with his right hand. Bisping was also landing with his right hand and Henderson was getting clipped. Bisping stunned him but Henderson dropped him with a right hand and swarmed him on the ground with strikes. Henderson calms down and stayed in guard.

In round 3, Bisping started to pick up the pace while Henderson was slowing down. Henderson lands a nice right to the jaw of Bisping but Bisping shakes it off and continues to fire. Henderson tagged him with an overhand right to end the round.

In round 4, Bisping kicked Henderson low early in the round and Henderson took some time to recover. Bisping was landing more leg kicks. Henderson landed a knee strike to end the round. A very close round.

In round 5, both guys were throwing bombs and just going at it in this one. Henderson landed a nice knee to the face then followed up with a combo which he finished with an uppercut. Bisping landed a combo and backed him up. Henderson landed a combo while Bisping landed an uppercut. Henderson rushed him and tackled him to the ground. Henderson clinches with him up against the fence. Bisping separates with just over a minute to go. Bisping took him down to the ground to end the fight.

The judges gave the win to Bisping via unanimous decision.

Bisping (30-7) is currently on a five-fight winning streak. He is 5-1 in his last five fights. Bisping lost Luke Rockhold in November by second-round guillotine choke. Michael Bisping defeated C.B. Dollaway by unanimous decision at UFC 186. He beat Thales Leites by split decision at UFC Fight Night 72. He beat Anderson Silva at UFC Fight Night 84 by unanimous decision. He beat Luke Rockhold at UFC 199 by decision. He beat Dan Henderson via decision at UFC 204.

Henderson (33-14) is currently on a one-fight losing streak. In his last six bouts, he lost back-to-back fights against Daniel Cormier at UFC 173 by third-round RNC and then was knocked out in the first round by Gegard Mousasi in January of 2015. He knocked out Tim Boetsch at UFC Fight Night 68 in the first-round. He was finished by Vitor Belfort at UFC Fight Night 77 by first round KO. He knocked out Hector Lombard at UFC 199 in the second round. He lost to Michael Bisping via decision at UFC 204.

UFC 204 took place on Saturday, October 8 in Manchester, England. The UFC Fight Pass prelims started at 6:30PM/3:30PM ETPT with four bouts while the FOX Sports 1 prelims aired at 8PM/5PM ETPT with four bouts. The main card (PPV) aired at 10PM/7PM ETPT with four bouts.
