Dan Henderson wishes he would’ve fought Jon Jones

Former UFC middleweight champion Dan Henderson recently spoke with MMA Fighting to promote his fight with Michael Bisping at UFC 204. Henderson explained that he wished he could’ve fought former UFC light heavyweight champ Jon Jones during his career. Henderson was scheduled to fight Jones for the light heavyweight title at UFC 151, but he suffered a knee injury in training.

“There’s only one that really, Jon Jones, you know?” Henderson said. “I trained to fight him, got ready to fight him, got hurt and I didn’t get a chance to test myself against him, you know? That would have been a fun moment to see how I do against Jon Jones. He’s since then done even better. He’s screwed up a little, too, but he’s still arguably the best pound for pound guy out there.”

UFC 204 takes place October 8 in Manchester, England. The main card will air on PPV while the prelims will air on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
