Anderson Silva seeking return at UFC 200

on

Former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva pulled out his bout with Urijah Hall at UFC 198 due to abdominal pain that ultimately required gall bladder surgery. Silva is now okay.

Silva’s physical trainer Rogerio Camoes told Sherdog that Silva is targeting his return for UFC 200 in July.

“Thank God everything went fine and Anderson is already planning his return,” Camoes said in an interview with Sherdog.com. “He told me ‘Master, pack everything up. We’re going to UFC 200.’ The most important thing is that he kept his mind strong and didn’t lose his motivation. On the contrary, he’s really motivated to take part at that historical UFC 200 event.”

It’s possible that the UFC books Silva against Hall at this event or puts him against a new opponent.

UFC 200 takes place at the new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 9, 2016. The main card will air on PPV while the prelims air on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
